Maillog message "do not try TLS with ..."
In the past several customers were confused about the following mail server log message:
... ruleset=try_tls, arg1=..., relay=..., reject=550 5.7.1 ... do not try TLS with ...
... ruleset=try_tls, arg1=..., relay=..., reject=550 5.7.1 ... do not try TLS with ...
This message does not indicate an error. It appears whenever DEFENDO contacts a mail server which offers encrypted connections
(TLS) but DEFENDO's configuration does not allow encryption. The log message only informs that the STARTTLS option will not
be used. Mail delivery will continue unencrypted as usual.
You can enable encrypted connections to specific servers or even to all servers which offer it in the DEFENDO menu "Expert -> Mail Server" on tab "Encryption".
